1) Details: Emily at age 2 on the beach in FL in sepia, vintage crystal candle holder with bling and mother of pearl buttons on its rim.
2) Everyone needs a fun clock to reference when getting ready in the morning. Vintage touches.
3) This photo shows the entire shelf unit which is above the stool in our bathroom.
This is this shelf when it isn't Christmas time. I am going to be redoing our bathroom this Winter, so will be changing the shelf color at that time.
Non Christmas decor: I really go for the neutral colors and usually add silver and sparkle only at Christmas to change the look of this area in our bathroom.
Details: Love this vintage magnolia wood pin and the vintage pearls w/crystal long necklace strand.
Details: This is a tiny vintage bottle w/a vintage letter label and a piece of faux flowers in it. Just love the tiny details of this. I love the smalls.
4) More vintage Christmas ornaments, vintage silver & white stoneware as well as sparkly new bling.
Non Christmas decor: still using silver and of course photos of our daughter when she was young.
I can't have enough of the tarnished sillver in my home and use it to decorate with year round. One of my favorite photos of Emily in a silver filigree tray. She is just so impish looking on the photo.
5) This was in our livingroom one year. This tree isn't old, but about half of the ornaments on it are vintage as well as the pink vintage scarf I used for a tree blanket, the silver tray, the hot pink glass beads and the tree topper.
6) Close-up detailing. This was a fun tree! I haven't used it lately, as we added a cat to our family and with this being on a table top I'm afraid she will attack it and smash the ornaments.

Just a few holiday decorating ideas that I've used in the past. I found these photos on my computer and thought I'd share them.
I've added some everyday photos of this area to show that just a few touches of silver, glitter stars or snowflakes, a pc. of garland, or a simple tree can just really make an area ready for the holidays. You don't have to over decorate to represent Christmas time. Just a different type of look from the Traditional you may see elsewhere. Very personal and memorable.

I'm just starting to get things out (I'm a little late this year - but except for the trees, I leave a lot of it out into the month of January) - so, I'm re-thinking (and trying to simplify) what I do. Thanks so much for sharing!
