This is my second post, so, yes, I am comng out of lurksville now. This is my first finished project to photograph and post since joining as a member. I came across some vinyl records, and remember seeing on this site ideas for tidbit trays. I purchase 3 sizes: one huge, long playing radio station DJ's album, a 33 rpm and a 45. The two smaller ones weren't as sturdy, so my hubby cut rounds from floor underlayment board to attach them to after painting them flat black. Then I purchased a threaded rod, some washers and nuts and an eye socket (hardware) and painted them all flat black, and assembled the project. It was finished with clear matte polyurethane spray, so it can be washed lightly. The top record's title is "Drums a go-go." which fit right in, as we gave it to our friend and neighbor who happens to be a drummer in his band! He got such a hoot out of it, and loved it when we gave it to him for his birthday in May!
