Galvanized Bins Wall Unit

  First I gave them an ultra good scrubbing and then laid them out in the design I wanted.
  Next, I marked the areas I wanted to bolt them together. I used bolds, washers and wing nuts to connect them. I also drilled four holes in various places in the back of them so I could molly bolt them to the wall.
  Here’s the overall unit. It’s about 4 feet by 4 feet.

Remember the old galvanized bins I found at the junkyard a couple weeks back? I decided to make a wall unit out of them to display some of our treasures…

suewhitney writes: Ahhahahaha! Love this. Good minds think alike. This is a funny story. When Geo was here this summer she shopped like a mad woman at Oronoco and left all of her goodies behind to be picked up later. Well, the longer they are here the more we use them for projects. Sorry GoGo....not really! Maybe I'll make something for her birthday from something she bought and send it to her...even funnier! Any hoo she found three of the greatest metal drawers with wooden fronts and I was putting something similar together with them. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out!

I painted a much needed wall in my livingroom. It is an accent wall that has waited way too long to get painted, so I am thrilled with the results and getting it done.
Than with the wall finished I could assemble a new tree I made out of a junk tree (newly posted). After that I was able to start decorating it. I feel like I accomplished quite a bit too.
