Handmade and inexpensive...it just does not get any better than that!!
Here is one of the book of which I speak!
Rip or cut the page out of the book and twist it carefully in to a cone shap. Place a small amount of glue to the bottom of the cone to keep the cone together.
Allow glue to dry. The pages of this type of book work nicely because of the thickness and quality of the paper.
I'm all about layers so I clipped a page from an old book, made it a cone and slipped it inside the larger cone.
Add your embellishments. Details, details, details! I used garden tape that is a Velcro product. I love the green. Then I tied twine around the tape and added one of those famous key fobs from a convent.
Punch a hole at the back of the paper cone.
Cut your ribbon to the appropriate length and run through the hole.
Place flowers of your choosing in a water tube from your local florist. I used Myrtle, Ranunculus, Wax Flowers, and little yellow Button flowers.
You can hang on a door knob or tie the ribbon in a bow and simply lay it in a bed of moss on the table.
For the kids or chocolate loving adults fill the cone with Easter grass and chocolate eggs. Jelly beans would also be appropriate!

There is a little problem that goes along with being an author. Sometimes when you are personalizing books you make oopsie doppsies. I seem to do it more than most. Spell a name wrong (sometimes even my own) and the book is a gonner. You can't sell them and you can't give them away. A large stack of these books have been sitting in a pile staring at me for months. I decided to do something about it!!
Bed crafting!!! These little cones will be delivered as Easter tussie-mussies and candy filled cones. The recipient can then re-gift them on May Day. Twofer!!!!
Once again I'd like to thank you all for being part of this wonderful community we call JUNKMARKET Style. I am very blessed. Happy Easter...enjoy the day with your family and friends.
Big Hugs,
Sue
