I really liked this old wooden ladder, especially the back. I wanted to use it for something fun.
So I took it apart and painted it white. Then I distressed it.
I flipped the shelf over, then stabilized it with some wood screws.
Then I put it here. The back of the toilet holds it in place; its actually very sturdy.
I really like it here!

The back half of a ladder makes a fun and handy shelf in the bathroom. The added bonus is that it doesn't take up much room.

georgiamoon writes: This is fantastic! Very cool storage idea and just think, you still have the other half of the ladder to work with! I am sure you will come up with something else amazing too!

NDJunkGirl writes: Susanne! Storage, plus the major cool factor = A+! This would be great solution for any bathroom (I'm thinking ideal for my son's little apartment/little bath). Could stack towels, tp, etc. FUN!
