1930's Dresser restored - with added shoe collage

I was so inspired by the wonderful comments that I received about the Beauty Collage Table that I made for my daugther Vanessa (THANKS ALL Who posted such wonderful notes!!), that I decided to make a shoe collage on the top of a 1930's dresser that I've been restoring.. This time for my daughter Natasha, who was returning home after going to college out of state for several years.  I knew it was going to be hard for her to adapt to living with Mom & Dad again...and got to thinking it would be a wonderful surprise, for her transition.

You'll see once again that I was able to find a piece with "good bones" and in desperate need of a rescue!  And oh boy were there many coats of paint to remove!  Sanding is fun, better after hours and hours, I'm no longer sure about "how fun" it is! LOL

I used the same techinque as before, but the shoe pictures were a bit more work, due to my need to cute them out "just right" before glueing them!  Oh we junkers can be a bit of perfectionists, can't we?!

Now I'm off to think of something esle to collage...it's getting a bit contangious!
