Before (with broken drawer)
added a hinged face plate using the broken drawer
The DVD and dish receiver is used on top shelf and the movies all fit perfect in the drawers! Love it!
After - all closed up and a new life to an old dresser. (still need to hide our wires... =)

Before (with broken drawer)

So since we installed the new wall mounted TV in our living room, I wanted to put something under it that was different. Since we were confined between the wall and fire place. I looked at different dresser ideas, but really didn't want to dump a lot of money into something that is basicly holding our movies. But then our friends were cleaning out their house to move, and she asked if I wanted their hold "changing dresser". (that they used with the kids). It was an old dresser - PERFECT! and FREE!

One of the drawers was broken, with no bottom, and some mismatch pulls. It was a little wobbly and just needed a new purpose.

My husband helped me put in the new board for the top drawer space for the DVD/Dish receiver area. Then we figured out to use the face of the broker drawer to hinge it closed when not in use. (I like things closed and "put away") Some new granite/grey spray paint, and a brown stain rub, and hammered-iron looked pulls, and we have a new media center! I'm really happy with it. (Thanks to my husband and my friend, Nicole! =)
