Reclaimed shutter shelf

Here's the finished shelf. It's perfect for this particular place in my family room.
This is how the shelf looked when I pulled its components from other people's trash.
A bit of paint, some distressing, add a cute little dog...
I raised the trim to form a lip and had glass cut to fit the shutter on top. The old postcards were handy. A friend suggested putting a light under the top to diffuse light out of the side and top louvers. I might just do that!
Here's the finished shelf. It's perfect for this particular place in my family room.
Perhaps everyone's tired of seeing yet another shutter/door project. Or, (like me) maybe not!
I needed a shelf for this particular spot in my family room and had a nice little pile of treasures to work with. And it was waaaay fun!
