Upcycled Tennis Racquet Wall Trophy & Awards Display Shelf

Here's my twist on using an old tennis racquet for wall use... The hardest part of the project was connecting everything without severing the tennis string. It's all intact! The top features a vintage metal tennis trophy figure. The blue painted and distressed piece of fine wood was custom cut to the racquet size. Underneath, I fashioned three copper plated hooks to hang anything from award ribbons, light purses or anything else you can imagine that isn't too heavy. The display features two holes on the shaft of the racquet to screw into a wall stud or sturdy sheetrock screws.

suewhitney writes: Very in keeping with the game, Brian! This totally makes sense. Parents have sooooo many trophies to display...this gives tham a way to do it creatively. Hmmm...what other spring sports could we work on. Sounds like a contributor challenge to me!

CottageElements writes: Brian, I love your very practical repurpose of this! Love how you added the wood on top so it's a shelf. I've seen a ton of different versions of the tennis racket repurpose, but this is my favorite version by far. The trophy on the top is the icing on the cake. Way to go!
