Almost Finished...

My friends Daughter is a Pre-teen and has had this beautiful make-up vanity in her room since she was little. Now that she is getting older, she wanted something more modern with her Favorite colors. There was NO WAY i could allow my friend to toss this beautiful piece of furniture. So we busted out the spray paint and got crafty for a couple of hours. We have some changes to make to the detailing but its almost done. The stool and the matching mirror are set for tomorrow. Cant wait to see it all come together. HOT PINK AND BLACK!!!

Jillskii writes: Hi Angela! I just started painting a month ago so it was merely by mistake.lol I just put spray paint on a brush and paint back and forth really fast for about 5 seconds. Do that to the entire piece of furniture then when its finished, use polyurethane to seal it all in, give it a great shine and blend it all together. At first I felt like I was messing the whole thing up. Then, it just all came together. Reminds me of when I use to watch Bob Ross paint when I was a kid ;) Posted: 10:50 am on February 23rd

Could you tell me how you got the brushed effect? I'm new to JMS but I love it! I came here to get inspired :)
