Junk Market Swap December 2011January 22nd, 2012 in member junk
I received Sara Swanson (Vintage Cosmo) as my Junk Swap Partner to exchange Vintage Junk in ourJunk Market Swap, December 2011.
I received a delightful present from Sara before I had mailed her present as I lost it packaged upstairs in my crafting room as I was unpacking from moving still. I was so ashamed that I had not mailed her swap present so I did not open hers until after hers' was mailed.
It was fabulous stuff she sent to me. I got a North Carolina banner pennant which I adore and have hung in my craft room. She also sent a Real LARGE Horseshoe, a brass star, toothbrush holder, vintage metal hair clips, a vintage ceramic shoe with dog , a gold metal or brass decorative round embossed or highly decorated thing-a- ma- jig( no idea what it was but it is beautiful). A Durkee mustard tin. Tall wood spool, two pulleys, an air gauge, poinsettia flowers and a metal hinge.
Everything she sent was very nice Vintage Stuff I can really use in my mixed media art. I have not yet decieded what some of it will be but I do have ideas. Maybe a candle holder for the metal gold decorative round thingy. The brass rectangle with holds I have no idea what it might have been, I kept thinking an old register cover, flower holder, or what?
I felt bad not really knowing what Sara collected as I could not find any photos on her profile here, just that she was a member with her photo and bio having three children, so I just put together a box of junk I had around I thought might be useful in upcycling a project or projects.
In her box I opened, she had enclosed a card and I finally saw what she made. "Minn-Bot"'s and I should have included some tin cans, bolts, and many things as afterthoughts she might have liked. She makes Minn-Bots and I had no idea what this was!
