I bought this cute little end table on an occasional sale adventure with our friend Gretchen and her friend Carolyn.  This little end table had a little adventure of its own before finally making it to my house, didnt it Gretchen? Thanks again!
I orginally bought it for my daughters room...but thought of a better spot as storage on my kitchen counter.  See how those cookbooks fit in there perfectly???  Love it :)
My cozy aka small kitchen.
My dad made me this little round table 20 year ago when I moved away from home and out on my own.  I collected the chairs, painted and distressed them.  It was my first little redo decorating project...ever :)
This old pew rack, perfectly placed for easy access.
This sad, sad fridge just keeps on kicking...so I updated it with a little chalkboard paint and stencils...a bit less of an eyesore???  And a convenient place to make my lists.
You may have seen this in another post...a metal lunch box...
...works slick for stashing my favorite spices.
And this cute little red suitcase...
...makes a great recipe box.
You might recognize Mommy Central from another post too...

And I was even able to squeeze in a little art spot for the kiddos :)

I have big dreams for my kitchen...they involve lots of tearing down, updating...and time, lots of time... which we don't have "lots" of these days.  Sad to say, it's not even on "the list" right now.  So until "then"...I'll just be content with what I have and try to find fun ways to stash my stuff...

gadgetsponge writes: Way to go Laurel! There's surprises in every direction. The great thing is that so many things tell a story or have a great purpose. I can't decide which parts are my favorites. If this is a make shift kitchen, I can't wait to see what you do with the renovation one day. Posted: 7:51 pm on January 18th
JunkArchitect writes: I love ALL your organizing ideas! What a beautiful table your father built for you and even though it's twenty years old it fits your current style perfectly. My two kids have already decided which pieces I've built that they're taking with them when they move out. They'll be in for a big surprise when I start putting price tags on everything in the house...dining room table $2,600...small corbel lamp $650.
