Paint Chip Gift Tags

My 10 year old little boy asked that I share his project with you all!

He wanted to make gifts for his teachers, our favorite neighbor lady, and Grammy (my mom) this year...so I told him to have at it!  He dug through my stash of frames and found 4 octagon shaped wooden frames. (Sorry he started painting before I got a before pic!).  He cleaned, primed, and painted the frames in RED all by himself!  We then printed a sheet of Christmas words in red and green and cut out the shape of the frame opening.  He found some wooden Fleur De'Lis and had them painted red before I knew it!

We (my contribution) hot glued the Fleur De'Lis to the center of the image.  After attaching ribbons to the hook and a paint chip gift tag (I used these on all my gifts this year...they were a huge hit!) he wrapped them and gave them to his special people!

Grammy hung her's right away with much pride, as did everyone else!  He was thrilled they all loved his creative gift!

His thoughtfulness, creativity, and desire to make something special with his own hands will be something he carries with him forever. Good job, mom, for teaching him these wonderful traits.
