Vintage bird feeder.

An old porch post, some paint, hooks, bird feeders, and topped off with a copper tea pot. We also use another one as a plant holder.

Porchman writes: For jlb1957...I used a 3/8 inch metal rod. Drilled about 8 inches into the wood, inserted the rod, and had 12 to 14 inches of the rod for inserting into the ground. Even though it doesn't seem like the rod will hold the post, it does! We've had strong wind storms that hasn't even affected the post. The tea pot on top is caulked so that no water will get into it. I use smaller posts from old stairways and top with a teacup and it's plate and either fill with birdfood or water for the birds and place in the gardens around the house.
