Bird Cage Hanging Lamp

Bird Cage Hanging Lamp

I love making lamps from birdcages.  Even though this one is standing in this store display, it is also hanging from the chain above.  I like to use either brown or clear lamp cord which can be found in a sort of amber/gold color.  Then I like to rust the chain so it isn't shiny.  You have to find a couple of old light fixture parts or something rustic to "sandwich" the cage and attach the light fixture.  I rusted those parts as well.  Then I like to use a porcelain lamp housing for a real vintage look.  I finish it off with a beautiful Edison style bulb.
