Vintage Doll Bed Craft Show KioskDecember 6th, 2011 in member junk
This vintage doll crib was the perfect thing to display my sister's knitted baby items. I wanted a moveable kiosk that would put items up at eye level. I wanted something baby-related and when I saw this vintage crib that I had purchased for a future project I had an idea. Turned on its end, the head of the bed had enough depth and a perfect place for hangers to hang baby sweaters. The crib was missing it's bottom but had a drawer so I just flipped the drawer and decoupaged vintage inspired wrapping paper to coordinate with the original finish on the crib. I added some old wire to the inside of the drawer in rows like clothes line so that we could use my stubby stained clothes pins to hang baby booties. I mounted the crib to an old cupboard door. I had a pair of doors so I used four old turned posts and the second door to add stability. I took four old casters off an old rolling plant dolley that I not longer needed and screwed them to the bottom and viola!.. a moveable display for baby things.
