Here's a wintery welcome (with a couple junky items thrown in!)

First I started with this buckle I had in my stash. If I remember right, I think it was from an old belt I took apart long ago.

Whitery-white ribbon I had on hand was used to securely attach the buckle around the basket.

This piece of ribbon (also from my stash) was long, but instead of cutting it off, I tied it in the back and brought the ends up through the top of the greenery for added visual interest. (See first or last photo).

A few more junky items needed to fill the basket - an old metal snowflake and a metal cash register number will do the trick.

The finished basket will welcome any back door guests!

I'm a sucker for small metal items. Especially numbers. Really, really nice creation. Posted: 5:37 pm on December 3rd
