Happy Thanksgiving to All!November 24th, 2011 in blog, projects
I received this email from a member of JMS just last night and it reminded me of one of the major reasons I do what I do. I hope the sender does not get upset for sharing, but it speaks to what this website and community is all about....friendship, caring and, appreciation of others.
Dear Susan, I am writing to you to make sure that your E-mails do not end up in my “JUNK MAIL” as they have in the past! Your E-mails deserve better treatment than that! Also want to tell you how great your site is and how much I truly enjoy it. You are so blessed with creativity and respect for old things. It just makes life more exciting to re-create. This summer I was at a camp-out in Yankton, South Dakota and to my amazement I walked into a cool shop and the shop owner knew you, had your books, etc. I was so happy to see that you are so well known! Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s the “humble art” of the century!
Thank-you for all that you share!
I love the quote "humble art" of the century! I was really very touched by this email and I think it is a reflection on all members, editors, and contributors here at JMS. We're all here because we are passionate, kind, and caring "humble artists" of the century. Thank you so much for such a lovely note and for reminding me of all for which I am thankful
I and JMS editors, Lanette and Jim along with JMS contributors Donna, Gretchen, Georgia, Michael, Brian, Suzanne, Lacey, Laurel, Andrea, Tammy, and Cassie...from our tables to yours...wish you a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day with family and friends!
The images below come from Jim , Lanette, and yours truly. Please feel free to comment and let us know what you are thankful for today. We'd love to hear from you! Also, if you would like to attach a picture of your Thanksgiving table or celebration to this post ...that would be great!
Thanks again to all and Have a happy day.
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.
