The other night I whipped up a little forest glam DIY for my run-of-the-mill IKEA spotlight lamp. This project ticks all the boxes for me...recycled, repurposed, AND upcyled!

Recycled:  antique crystal chandelier parts

Repurposed: Twigs and chandy parts become part of lamp design

Upcycled:  a boring lamp gets a splash of forest glam

Yes, that is the Harry Lauder Walking Stick bush - I think translated from Swedish it's something like "Contorted Hazelnut".
I, too, love the contrast between the steel, sticks, and crystal glass. I'm already trying to figure out how to expand on the idea. Certainly something for the holidays is a must.

italianpeasant writes: great! isn't that a "harry lauder walking stick"? i have one in the front of my house & trim it & use them for plant stakes :) also, you are suppose to take out the ones that grow straight to proliferate the curly ones.....in case you didn't know Posted: 3:16 pm on December 1st

JunkArchitect writes: What a great contrast between the curly twigs and the sleek Ikea light. How much you wanna bet Ikea starts selling bundles of curly twigs soon.
