This baby came into our home covered in things I don't want to describe. But the paint was heavy and thick and chippy as all ..... well it was chippy. Discovered a nice Mahogany underneath it and thought about a set of dishes I have with an indented almost chipped in tree branch. And I LOVE birch trees. Inspiration abound, I decided to chip out the image of the old tree and bird instead of painting it on. It was a long tough process, but well worth it!
