Hey everybody!  Here's a couple of upcycled decorative birdhouses fresh out of the garage.  I had a blast with turning the vintage Crispo Graham Dainties tin box into a "home".  The copper teapot and the connected sauce pan are solid copper.  There's coins at the perch and expired rabies tags around the perimeter.

gadgetsponge writes: That you for the comment Kimmer! I really enjoy making these. The birdhouses are foremost "decorative" but under the right conditions they have been used for actual birds. They just need to be out of direct sunlight (shade or patio) and out of cold, exposed winds or temperatures. I've had birds live in some of mine. Honestly, most of my customers won't even take them outside. Haha! Posted: 9:32 am on November 17th
KIMMER writes: These are cute! I love them! Great decorative item! Wouldn't want to use them for actual birdhouses tho' as the metal attracts heat and birds/eggs would be cooked. Stinky! But great idea and again decorative item! Posted: 5:33 am on November 17th

clarerose writes: Tres neat as always. I particularly like the Dainties Tin House. I finally found some old skates and have incorporated an old tin into the construction. I will post it soon. Thanks so much for the inspiration :) Posted: 8:58 pm on November 12th
