Once a glass bottle, now a nautical-looking lamp
naked bottles waiting to be upcycled
covered the bottle with torn paper and masking tape, then burnished with brown shoe polish to give it a leather look
wrapped the bottom half with manila rope
tied on a little junky embellishment

I pulled this glass cider jug out of the recycle bin last Thanksgiving...it was too cool to throw out.  It took me a while to figure out exactly what to do with it...but glad I saved it, just in time for this Thanksgiving!
