Upcycled Industrial Iron Sewing Machine Side Table

I ran across an old sewing machine with an iron base that was in pretty rough condition.  I busted up all the rotten wood (kept the drawers!) and went to sanding the iron base.  After several coats of fire engine red paint, I started making the table top.  I actually had on hand some building/play blocks that I had played with when I was very young that I mounted to some plyboard and surrounded it with metal roof flashing pieces that I custom cut and fabricated.  The flywheel and pedal still work great together!
