I was in a favorite junk shop a while back and stumbled upon an old altar that had come from a church in town. It had to come home with me! It's moved around a few times before finding its current resting place in the dining room!

I guess this is junk that's come full circle, as its original purpose was to serve the Lord's Supper, now it is perfect for a buffet for any dinner party--wine and host optional.

Vintage green chairs at the head of the table, and fantastic aqua blue bistro chairs round out the cararra marble topped table.

Glass insulators massed in a wire urn make a simple yet stunning centerpiece! The cararra marble table was a junk store find--from the kind of junk store you want to take a bath after you visit!

I found an antique altar in a junk shop and now use it as a sideboard in my dining room. The gothic arch detail and yummy chippy white paint pop in an other wise mostly white room. The bright aqua blue chairs carry the color of the stained glass windows in the living room across the room. You can see my junktastic living room in another post on this site!
