Tomato Cage/Galvanized Tub Christmas Tree
November 20th, 2008 in member junkI saw this idea in a magazine last year. Their version was to fill a galvanized tub with sand. Build a tri pod and stick in the sand. Layer with wreaths starting at the bottom with the largest and ending with a tiny one on the top. My version: Wire an upside down tomato cage to a galvanized tub (the right size tub should be the exact size of the large end of the tomato cage). Wire the small end of the tomato cage together. Stack on wreaths. I didn't have a tiny wreath so I made a bow for the top. Wind a string of lights on it. If a hurricane comes throw bricks in the tub to keep it from blowing away.
