Refrigerator Pocket Organizer made from Recycled Frame
November 19th, 2008 in member junkFrustrated with the messy look of school papers on my refrigerator, I figured there had to be a more attractive and efficient way to store these items. Using a frame I picked up for $1, scrap fabric, and my glue gun, I made this refrigerator organizer.
Using a glue gun, I glued the backing fabric to a piece of cardboard that is cut slightly smaller than the frame. Cut another piece of fabric that is shorter than the frame (to make the pocket) but the same width of the frame. Make a hem at the top of this pocket piece with the glue gun. Next, glue the pocket fabric to the bottom of the backing fabric/cardboard piece. Lastly, glue the frame to the cardboard/fabric piece. Add some strong magnets to the back and you're finished!
It would be fun to make your own frame for this with old rulers or a yardstick. It would be a fun teacher gift, too.

Great project and it seems easy enough even I could handle it!
