This from Judy, Judy, Judy...Lets get this straight from the start, I am just a laid back, southern talking, cajun country girl, that migrated to the great state of TEXAS 25 years ago. Any decorating abilities I might have did not come from a book, but from an early lifestyle that required re-purposing to maintain a comfortable cozy home. What I love to do most is to take a piece of furniture that is tattered, faded, worn and sometimes broken and create the look that expresses what I feel. In other words it makes me happy.

About 20 years ago I got the idea of doing a home show and have been doing one twice a year ever since.

I am excited about bringing a little bit of TEXAS to Minnesota.

You can find us at JHillDesigns.net on the web. Also on Facebook at J Hill Designs or Judy Taylor Hill.

More from Judy....Also about five years ago I created a line of bedding and softgoods TM Whitewashed and began producing it locally. Since then it has grown significantly. We will be showing some of the bedding line at the JUNKMARKET under Glass. You can also catch us at the Marburger Farm Antique Show in Round Top Texas in the spring and fall.

Its all in the details. Judy knows about details!
Judy is a galvanized garden kind of girl!
I know you already saw this image, but I thought it deserved a second look.
A little closer view.
And yeppers...right in there on the detail of this cart. Is this amazing or what?!
She always moves gracefully from industrial to the softer side of Sears. Paper in glass. She has perfected the art of simplicity.
Junk walll art? She has it!
Judy is the one that taught me to pay close attention to quality rust.
Judy bring big goods and small goods, but no mater the size, everything is good.
I am trying to give you the full picture of Judy Hill and her style. This image is from Patina Green. Please visit http://patinagreen.typepad.com/patinagreen/2009/06/inspiring-details-judy-hill-home-show.html for more pictures of this fabulous home show.

There are people in our lives that we look up to, to inspire us and mentor us. I am inspired by many people today, but there are two women I met early on in my JUNKMARKET career that gave me the confidence to perservere. Carol Sheehan, Editor-in-Chief of Country Home Magazine is one, Judy Hill of J. Hill Designs is the other. I was a whole lot of "fluffernuttin" before learning the ropes from these two women. Both women unselfishly shared their gifts. their insights, their joy for the industry, and encouraged me to take the risk of self-expression. For that I am, and always will be, truly grateful. Please welcome Judy Hill to Minnesota for the JUNKMARKET Under Glass "Fall Edition". She is a special friend and a legend in our field.  If you don't believe me, I have to share one very cute story. Another one of our extremely talented dealers texted me and said..."Judy Hill of Texas Judy? Are you flippin' kidding me? I think that says it all. Don't miss meeting Judy, you won't find her anywhere else outside of Texas.... so let's show her some Minnesota type hospitality! Thanks, Judy for coming. You know I love ya!

CottageElements writes: I think it's gonna be a September Christmas in Minnesota... don'tcha know. I'd better start saving my penny's because I know I'm gonna want everything in your booth. Sue said you'll also be bringing another gazebo, so maybe I can get a one from you after all. I wanted that one you had in Texas. The only problem was getting it home. Can't wait!

MimiToria writes: Welcome Judy! Like I mentioned in a previous comment, so excited to finally meet you and to get to do it on MN turf is a dream come true. Thank you for saying "yes" to Sue's invite. You will add such a dynamic and fun element to this already wonderful show Sue puts on.

Now, JMS members, you need to come out and support what Sue is doing here, what she's building, whom she's bringing here for you to meet and see. All of this is what makes this wonderful website unique, and an important part of our lives.

Judy you were the inspiration in Sue's success years ago when she truly needed someone to believe in her, and now Sue has in turn been that inspiration and believer in my abilities which has made what I do a success, and the beat goes on... Thank you for your part in her success.

Your style is impeccable. Posted: 5:55 am on August 4th
