The results of Day One: Still some more tweaking to do (Ill probably line all of the back of the dark bookcase to lighten it up).
I inherited the lamp and the radio with the booth.
My first sold item - Im glad I got a pic of it! It was originally burgandy colored with mirrors. I repainted white and cut apart a chippy metal flower pot for new inserts. (ok, hubby Phil gets credit for cutting the metal pot to size!)
I am quickly learning the value of peg board - its so versatile!
Im using my love of quotes by putting them in frames rather than leave frames blank or with stock pics of models etc - the one on the cabinet says Unattended Children Will Be Sold to the Circus.
I fell in love with this bookcase. However the back was peeling and bubbled veneer. So out came a print I got at a flea market, and scrapbook papers - now its all I can do to not to take it back to my house instead of selling it!

"There is a fine line between hobby and mental illness." ~ Dave Barry

It's amazing what a year can do. In the year since I've discovered Junkmarket Style and the inspiration it brings, my 'hobby' has literally exploded into so much more! Since my house was beginning to be overrun with my repurposed/redone finds, I took the plunge and opened a booth at a local booth mall this past week. Major thanks to MWHP (My Wonderful Hubby Phil) for hauling so much in nearly 100 degree heat! I call it 'Junktiques Inventive Vintage.' Hope you like it!

Now my challenge is to make sure I don't spend more than I make (gosh that's gonna' be tough!)
