After cutting the arrow from plywood it was painted and distressed. The old Genesee sign and bracket were then mounted to the front.
The “ICE COLD BEER” text is actually cardboard letters painted high-gloss white and then chipped  to resemble vintage enamel signage.

With its psychedelic graphics this coaster looks straight out of the 1960s.

The Adirondack Mountains of New York sure look like a great place to down a few beers.
I love the vintage graphics.

Two coasters add just the right amount of detail.

Thats the original bracket for hanging the sign.
>>>UNDER CONSTRUCTION<<<

The sign is made from some kind of semi-transparent, heavy stock paper. All the graphics are silk screened on.
Its not dated but Im guessing the 1960s.

This would look great hanging on the wall in a Pub.

Here’s a creation I just felt like making. No client, no pressure and no clue what to do with it now that it’s finished. It started when I found a vintage Genesee Beer sign at an estate sale. The original owner ran a liquor store for 50+ years and had tons of booze related junk stashed away.

My idea was to build a “background” to give the sign more significance. I tried to envision how an old liquor store would display cases of beer and for some crazy reason I came up with this arrow concept.

georgiamoon writes: Hey Jimmy, that is super cool. Where in the world do you come up with the sign AND the coasters...I know, you just had them lying around somewhere waiting for the perfect project, right? It turned out fantastic as usual! I can just see someone with a bar wanting this retro light, maybe it is a good thing that you didn't make it for anyone in particular. Extremely well done and a creative concept that is uniquely you!
