French Door Headboard

Ive seen people use old doors as headboards before and I always really liked the look.  I decided to try it with a french door because it was free and it happened to be exactly the size of a king size bed.
This is what the door looked like when I received it.  This is the other one of the pair that my husband rescued from the dumpster at his work.  I didnt get a before pic of the one I actually used - but you get the idea.
I sanded it and used some Minwax stain with poly and voila!  I thought the finish turned out really nice.
Just by itself the door was just a little too contemporary for my taste so I added this iron scrollwork piece that had a nice shape to top it off.
The finished product!  I really like the way it turned out and have gotten many compliments.  The cool thing about this is that its versatile.  You could just add fabric, scrapbook paper, or wallpaper to change up the look.

Be careful not to put your head through one of the panes!
