This is what it looked like when I bought it.  Poor thing.
This is the mirror laid out on the pool table in the shop.  What, you dont have a mirror on your pool table?
The drawers after Id sanded a bit.  There was dark stain on the little arches and light stain on the other areas that, with time and neglect, looked terrible.
The finished product with all of my beautification stuff inside and out.  (Yes, I know the lamp is boring but its on my to-do list.)

I found this vanity at one of the local thrift shops.  My Grandma used to have one just like it when I was a kid.  I got the fella down from $80 to $40!  It was in good shape structurally but terrible shape cosmetically.  After lots of cleaning, sanding, some stain and new (mismatched, hand-me-down) hardware, I think it's gorgeous!!!

gamecockchic writes: Thanks y'all! Your positivity makes me wanna go out to the workshop and go crazy with projects! I can't wait to start the next one. I have so many things I wanna do that I think I might've seen my hubby cringe a little last night when I said, "I'm going to see what's new on JMS." He knows that will soon be followed by, "Honey, look at this. I wanna do that!". Bless his heart. Posted: 2:58 pm on June 10th
