April Showers Bring May Flowers

We can all find drawers and bottles right? I used a drawer that is metal and chippy wood that seemed ideal for the delicate Spring blossoms.
A little drawer and a page from a vintage fabric book team up to make this lovely floral container.
This is a sweet project so I needed sweet textile....but not very much so a little sample did the trick. I can save the rest of the page for other projects. Back into the scrap pile she goes!! i included the order number in case you wanted to order a bolt. Ah, hahaha. Fat chance of that!
The sample page included a description of the textiles that inspired the arrangement.
All I needed was one little piece to cover the not so pretty number on the drawer. I measured and clipped a piece to fit.
A little Gorilla Super Glue was used to attach the swatch.
Ahhh...so much better!
I filled the drawer with easy to find bottles in a variety of sizes. Weve all done this before, but this is a fresh take for spring! As the description says...this captures simplicity and freshness.
You can go to your own yard and clip pretty little apple blossoms. The rain has created an ample amount of fresh moss around my house so I put it to use here.
Beautiful Bleeding Hearts and...
a sprig of Lily of the Valley are in keeping with simplicity.
Served up on your table on a bed of moss and a tree cookie will add a little spring to your decor.

We all know I love flowers and it seems appropriate to dedicate a week in the month of May to these little darlings. Here is my first May bouquet. It's very simple and uses items that we can all find.

Did you make this?
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.

CottageElements writes: Well so much for April Showers, looks like we're into summer heat right now(I'm just catching up on all these posts). But loving the drawer and flowers. You really know how to put everything together. I guess that's why you're the "Junk Queen".

Oh I love this! Just enough detail on the drawer to make it interesting too. Love the moss and old bottles touch!
