I'm Really Getting Into Leather!

Love the look of vintage leather.  It has that great worn, rugged look.  And Ive been taking pieces Ive found and restyling them into more junk/home decor fashion.
I started out with a pair of vintage boot gaiters.  No use for them in my wardrobe (though I do like to be fashionable).  Ha!
At the bottom of the one, I used a strong wire to close up the base.  I twisted it to give it a decorative look.
For some added embellishments, I used twigs, beads and wire.
A flower with still a rustic look will give the gaiter a little pizazz!
I used a sharp needle to poke through the leather and attach the flower.
Wala!
And the finished piece proudly displayed on my front door.

And no...not in that way!  But I have become quite fond of vintage leather pieces!  I found these leather motorcycle boot gaiters (I looked them up thanks to Google).  Loved their look, but had no use for them as gaiters.   This is what I did with one.  Love how it turned out!

Looks cool, Lani! I really like your front entry period. The soft tones are very inviting!
