When we moved into our early 1900s farm house, there was a new weatherproof door  for the front door.  I was lucky the former owners kept the original front door and I found it in the barn.  I thought it would be a perfect little bench for our foyer.  The bear, made from my great- aunts old torn quilt, looks so welcoming sitting on the bench.  And, since it is the original door, it matches the woodwork perfectly.  There was so old baseboard from the house in the barn, too. I used that for the bench seat.  I only blew a fuse a couple of times trying to cut the heavy door with our circular saw. he he.  I may need a new blade for the saw, now. hmmm
