"Harvested Organ" shelf

A close-up of the pedal frame.  I ended up painting & distressing it to make the beautiful design pop.
A bunch of parts from the original organ, which would fall apart a little more when you touched it.
Add a couple of hymns from a VERY old hymnal.  Nice how the frames worked out...they just happened to be the right size.  Wonder if this was a little church organ?????
 

This is the finished product, a small shelf about 24"  wide.  Repurposed Victorian era pump organ parts. With the exception of the mounting loops in back, all the hardware is original. Hyms are "It Is Well" and "Blessed Assurance", chosen for their era.  Frames are oringinally pump pedals. Can be removed for mounting other pictures
