Monday, Monday... I CAN trust that day! I'll be leaving on a jet plane (please excuse my references to vintage songs) on Monday, March 28th in search of gold at the Marburger Farm Antique Show. I'll make a pit stop to see my daughter E at Trinity in San Antonio. I suspect we'll have a little dinner and do a little dancing. Girls will be girls! I can't wait to see my little college freshman!

Bright and early on Tuesday AM I will get into my good friend Shelley's (Queen of Quantity) car and head down to Round Top, Texas. Her car, like most things in Texas is bigger than life. It's some kind of vintage Crown Victoria that she lovingly refers to as the Silverado Silver Bullet. A police officer once called it an old car with a three dead body trunk. I think maybe he's watched one too many crime shows...this trunk is clearly meant for what I'm hoping to find!! If you see me driving this monstrosity, honk, wave, and get out of the way.....I'll be sitting on three phone books to see over the steering wheel!

I'll be arriving at Marburger Farm at 9 bells On Tuesday the 29th. So I have plenty of room to park my vehicle. THE FUN ALL BEGINS at 10 AM with what I call the running of the bulls.  People line up at the tape and rush through at the opening bell. Whoa, Nellie...I'll have to make sure to wear my sneakers!

I'm on my own from 10 to noon to scour the tents and the grounds. I know I'm going to hate myself for not driving. Good thing they have on site shipping! From noon to 2 PM on Tuesday we’ll be shooting some video for Marburger. If you're around come watch us while we work! I get another shopping break after that until 5 PM. At 5 PM on Tuesday you'll find me and the Marburger crew at the Blacksmith Bar. Imagine that! We should be awfully thirsty by that time. Marburger Farm hosts a VIB (very important blogger) party at the bar from 5 to 7 PM and I have been invited as their guest. I'll be shooting the breeze with bloggers from all over the country! The Tuesday evening party and a portion of the entire spring show benefits Texas Children's Hospital and the Tuesday evening party and a portion of fall show benefits Susan G. Komen Foundation/Race for the Cure. As a Mom I love any charity that benefits children and as a sister to a beautiful woman who lost her life to breast cancer and a daughter to a 2 time surviving Mom I certainly have strong ties to the SGK Foundation. Always good to give back! Way to go guys!!!

Wednesday, March 30th will be shop along with Sue day starting at 10AM until around noon...'spose it all depends on how much darn fun we're having! II love shopping with friends...power in numbers!! So please meet me at the porch of the main building at 10 Am and we'll cruise the show. If you have been to MF before you'll love it even more, and if you've never been there...it will blow your mind. Can't wait to shop with you! After all the shopping fun I think I might wrangle the MF peeps to take me out to dinner at Royer's. I have fond memories of our last dinner together there. What do you say guys?

Thursday is a free day, but I’m sure you'll find me at Marburger ....yes....still shopping! Rumor has it I may be doing the Junk Mafia radio show via Fancy Smith on Thursday AM so that would be an added treat for all of us.  We'll all most likely head out to Zapp Hall on Thursday night for the prom. Can't miss that! My daughter Miss Elizabeth and my Niece Miss Natalie will be rolling in to town for that event. E has been to the prom before, but Natalie, hmmm.....I think we'll show this young lady from Philly how things are done in Texas. Prepare yourself Natalie....this is not the Jersey Shore!

Who knows what the rest of the weekend will bring. We may stay planted in Round Top or we may head to Austin to take in some music. Stay tuned more fun could be added at the drop of a hat. On the following Monday I'll be headed to Philly...all good things must come to an end! No cut to Philly...I like it there too!

I truly look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones at Marburger!

junkredeemer writes: Sue, it was so fantastic to get to meet you at Warrenton! I never expected to see anyone as near and dear to my heart as one of the "Junkmarket Queens" at the show! I have your books and you helped to turn my interest toward Salvage Style! Thank you for being so kind to a crazed fan and taking a picture with me! It was the highlight of my trip! We loved Marburger also, it was like stepping into a magazine! This was my 2nd trip to Texas and I'm ready to go again, love it! Posted: 8:27 pm on April 5th
