I was lucky enough to work out a trade with another vendor at the antique store that I work at for this beautiful terrarium! Im making her a comforter, and I get this!
Its quite old, and belonged to her mother for as long as she could remember. I tried scrubbing gently the plastic inserts, and cleaned them up quite a bit. But I decided that the front sections just didnt allow whats inside to show well, so I took them out for now. I may replace them all with glass eventually. The patina on the metal is such a beautiful combination of greens and browns!
All I had to do was look around my house for just the right things to make it feel like spring. Its very necessary right now, since its been storming for a week and a half!
The best part is that whenever I feel like it, I can easily change whats inside to fit the season, occasion or my mood! I absolutely think I got the best end of this deal!

I traded some sewing for this terrarium with a friend from our antique store, and I am thrilled with my half of the bargain!
