Ive been working on giving my studio a vintage and junk-inspired makeover. One of the things I can never have enough of is organization and storage. So, I thought, why not make it pretty AND functional?
Im a fan of vintage doors and vintage hooks. Put them together and what do you have? Junk organization goodness!
I started by measuring out and marking where the hooks would go. Then pre-drilled the holes.
I used some screw lube on the vintage hooks to reduce friction.
Then I simply screwed the hooks into the holes! Done.
If you wanted, you could also apply a coat of sealer over the hooks to prevent any rust or paint from marking anything.
All lined up and ready to organize!
Its the perfect spot to hang my collection of flea marketing bags. In this location, they are easy to grab when junk adventures call!

Got any junk hang-ups? If not, here's how to get one!! In our recent home office turned studio makeover, I added a few junk-inspired touches to make it a comfortable and character-filled space. This vintage door coat rack is one of those projects that adds that junk character!! A piece like this can be used in almost any room of the house...in a bathroom for towels, in an entry for coats, in a kid's room for backpacks, in a playroom for costumes, etc.
