These coasters are ready for action now!
Old Clue game pieces. I save them from any game that has been destroyed or is incomplete.
I picked these up at the Goodwill store a couple of weeks ago.
I almost put the weapons at opposite corners until I realized that they would not fit into the storage rack if I did!
Check out Miss Scarletts hair! And look at the rope! In the old games, it was really a rope instead of the plastic pieces we have now. You can really see how worn the cards are in this photo. Lots of detective work here!

This is another project for my new game room in the basement. I bought these photo coasters at Goodwill ($1.00). I spray painted them black. I keep old game pieces from incomplete games when I find them. These Clue game pieces are from the 1949. The cards are worn, showing signs of years of detective work! The game pieces are interesting too. The weapons were larger than the ones in today's game. In fact, I had to use a candlestick from a newer game because the old one was too large! I put one suspect, room and weapon card in each photo coaster and then added a couple of weapons to each coaster. This was so simple! I almost used Monopoly pieces on this, but as you will see in a project I will post soon, I used them for something else.
