Waiting for spring!

A nice addition to my hearth.  And a nice reminder that the tulips will soon be blooming.
I started with one of these cobbler things.
Used this old thing I had in a pile.  I think its some sort of planting tool.  I placed a plastic cup inside.
I found some rope and simply tied to allow the planter thingy to hang from the shoe thingy.
Added some tulips I picked up at the store.

I'm waiting for spring!  You wouldn't know it by my fireplace however -- the long shot would give away that my stockings are still hanging there!  But I'm slowly getting around to making the transition to spring.

This fun little creation is a great way to spring up the fireplace and remind me that the tulips will be blooming before you know it.  And I threw in the wooden shoes just for fun -- though they definitely aren't made using one of those cobbler stands.
