Wine glass holder

Need a way to hold/display wine glasses?  The bottom is a disc spacer from a farm which I found works great as a sturdy base for this project.  The wheel is one of many Ive managed to accumulate over the years!
The spokes on this wheel are ideal for holding the wine glass stem.
Heres a view from the bottom up!
Right next to my newly invented wine glass display is my favorite bottle of wine..!
This decorative old sewing machine drawer is the perfect height to show off my display bottle.
I thought the details on this drawer were so pretty.

These three junky items work perfect together and accomplished exactly what I wanted for my buffet table.  Now, time for a glass!

CottageElements writes: Andrea, I use those spacers all they time. Love them! This is a great use for them. Cheers to you! Joanne, those were spacers from a farm tiller. I don't know the exact name. I found them at an occasional sale in MN, but I've seen the equipment in fields...I wish I had the guts to stop and ask about them. Good luck in your hunt for them! Don't they say that's where the thrill is? LOL!

suewannabeinkc writes: I love it too - where are you all finding these spacers? I see them on here a lot... I'm a KS girl (granted, I live in the suburbs, but I do know what a farm is...) but I've never seen one. Any suggestions on where to look? I agree - they'd be terribly useful for all kinds of repurposing! (Like bed springs - I now have a boxful of 100 or so of those and need to get to work on some projects!)
GREAT idea! Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes I wonder if my ideas are "too out there"? (Okay, seriously I ALWAYS wonder that!) But, I want to thank you all for commenting and for seeing the beauty in junk items as I do. Repurposing has almost become an obsession for me. I'm thrilled to hear some of you will be digging items out like these from your stashes to use! That's what this site is all about!

bluebucket writes: Fabulous! It all looks great but I especially like the sewing machine drawer turned wine holder. I've had sewing machine drawers on the wall as shelves. It's so nice to see a new idea to re-purpose them. That would make a wonderful presentation gift.
