What a perfect little marriage these two pieces make.  A little vintage with an industrial feel!
This part of the project was actually put together by our newest JMS contributor, Sue Wolfe.  I purchased it a few years ago, but always wanted to add something to it.  It just took the right find!
I love all the differnt kinds of molding it has on it.  And the metal paint finish on it gives it a modern edge.
This is a piece of pipe from a pipe organ.  I love the fact of course that its metal.  It thankfully came with two openings in the back making it easy to hang.
Love the pattern on it!
These decorative nails were from another project, but they were perfect for hanging the piece.  The long narrow point didnt leave too much of a hole in the molding, but the large head kept the pipe in place.  And yes, it is on there very sturdy.
Now all I needed was some extra embellishments.  Not sure what Im gonna do, but I wanted to have a few options.
This is what I decided on.  A little bling, a little brass and a little rust.  And the twine added an extra element to all of it.
And of course I need something to put in the pipe vase.  Some natural twigs and some with glitter.  And then a unique flower!
A closer look at the flower.
Just in case you wanted to see what the other side of the sign said.  It welcomes guests as they are coming and says goodbye as they leave.
I think it all came together quite nicely.  And combined I think they make perfect harmony!

What do you get when you mix a wall hanging made soley from frame molding and a metal pipe organ tube?  A display that brings with it, it's own kind of music!
