This is an old metal door knob plate. It was rusty and I left it that way. I added a skeleton key in the key hole and attached a tiny tassle. I painted the words "Unlock Your Dreams" in off white and added a ribbon on the top to hang it by. I had another heavy square door knob plate that had been painted white with the paint chipping off. I painted the same words only used black paint on it. The plate was thicker than this one so the key stayed in better when I glued it. The one shown is a very thin plate so I mounted it to a thin piece of wood so I would have something to glue the key to. I saved the white porcelain door knobs for another project.
