Cupcake Stand

I had been wanting to buy a double cupcake stand for the past few months.  But they are always so expensive...and well this girl just can't justify spending more than $5 for any type of dish.  So I went to my local thrift shop and came home with some milk glass type vase, and bowl, along with a white plate.  I also found an tin tray, for .10, you can't beat that!  I took them all home, dug out my Gorilla Glue and a can of High Gloss White Paint that I had on hand.

After I painted 2 coats on the tin tray, I attached it and the plate to the vase.  I then turned the bowl upside down and attached it to the bottom of the tray.  I was so excited with what I came up with, I used it for my Cousins Baby Shower.

I just had to throw in the pic of my silly Unk Craig doing his silly little jig at the Baby Shower!  He is the one I made the Ye Antique Gun Nut Plaque for!

My Cousin liked it so much she begged me to make her one of her own.  So I went back to the same thrift store and bought a clear plate, a really cool clear light fixture, a clear candle holder, and a clear microwave platter...and crazy glued them all together!  She was THRILLED!  I'll post a pic of hers the next time I think to take one!
