Christmas Mantel

I like my mantels to make a bit of a statement each season without going over board.  I attached ornaments to this old crib frame to coordinate with the colors of my family room. Antique white, Robins egg blue and a touch of green.  I like the fact the metal was a bit rusted, to tie in with my chocolate brown couch!
Here is the crib frame piece I found for a mere $11.  I liked the simplicity of it.  I thought about hanging my Christmas cards from it, or old photos, but decided to go another route.
For Autumn, I attached a large sunflower head, off center.  Simple, yet fun.
The fireplace lights cast a lovely reflection off the ornaments.

Happy December everyone!  Here's my twist for a quick, easy but elegant looking piece of "artwork" of sorts for the Christmas mantel.

JunkArchitect writes: Beautiful piece NDJG! Attaching the ornaments was the way to go. Christmas cards would have been too predictable. You always come up with amazing ideas...Happy Holidays.
