Industrial in the Kitchen!

Out an about at the local occasional sales, I happened upon an uber cool industrial piece.  The price was right, but I purchased it not having a clue on where Id put it.  I think these metal letters might be a give-away on where I decided.  Can you say eat!
Even my cat Jazzy seemed to like it before I found its final spot.  And doesnt she match just perfectly!
I finally decided to put it in the kitchen.  I think it was a perfect marriage!
It had thin metal shelves on the inside.  Not terribly useful, so I had to be creative....
And a cute rusty spring to keep the door open.
My cook books fit perfectly on the inside!  Not that Im much of a cook mind you.  But they will be much easier to get at.
My favorite of all my cook books, The Household Searchlight Recipe Book.
And its an old one...copyright 1936.
I think this recipe is one I can handle!  How to make toast?  Cant believe it was in a cook book.  Even I can handle that!  LOL!
My distressed eat sign hangs near it and goes along with the theme (as if eat isnt the theme of the kitchen already).
And I think it fits in perfectly!

If you know me, you know I like industrial.  Did I say like?  No, I actually "LOVE" industrial!  And lookie-lookie what I found!  My only dilemma?  Where to put it?

And love the EAT's -- and TO eat. As a matter of fact, I'm suddenly craving some toast, too bad I don't have the recipe like you do. Oh well.

CottageElements writes: Thanks everyone! I just saw in an online article Industrial Modern is the new trend. They're finally catching up to me and JMS! Ha! Gretchen, actually I bought the piece on Tuesday, so you must have seen another one. Would love to have found that one, too! Judi, you're mom is a Dorthy from Kansas? Cool...and then of course your name is Judi (as in Garland?). How fun! Berton, you can probably find more pics if look under my profile at more of my posts or search on my blog. There should be some from the home tours I've done. Geo, I am sure you know how to make toast! LOL!
