This is my holiday party girl all dressed up for a holiday party or maybe a photo op with Mr. Clause. I have been waiting for something fun to do with this mannequin! Love her!
Inspired by our very own Gretchen she has a little SteamPunk necklace made from 18 gauge wire and clock parts. Its not a Gretchen creation, but for this purpose... good enough. TeHe!
A little closer view. Fun!
Her sash is made with red huck wound through the metal waist band, ribbon, and a clock face.
The clock face adds the self expression and whimsy.
A little glitz for my girl comes in the form of ribbon with sparkle.
Wired tartan ribbon was used to make her festive skirt. The ribbon was cut away a little at both sides and ends of the ribbon and wound around the metal to hold the ribbon in place.
And there you have it!

I have to admit my kids used to laugh when I suggested we decorate the upstairs family tree together. They knew at a very early age that that particular tree really belonged to me. White lights, naturals, and so on and so forth....not all that much fun for a kid. Hence. the need for traditions with kid like flair. A downstairs tree decorated with multi colored lights and popcorn and individual bedroom trees to encourage self expression were added to our holiday decor.

Did you make this?

Sue, great color choices instead of the usual holiday red and white. Your clock ornament gives me a thought. Wouldn't a Christmas tree look so cool decorated entirely in clock faces.
