Sing along with me....

There she is, Miss America There she is, your idealThe dream of a million girls who are more than pretty can come true in Columbus and Stone Mountain For she may turn out to be the Queen of femininity There she is, Miss AmericaThere she is, your ideal With so many beauties she took the town by storm With her all-American face and form And there she is Walking on air, she isFairest of the fair, she isThere she is - Miss America

Ah hahaha! Our old advertising friend Miss Hazel set the stage or the GG booh in Ohio and Stone Mountain. its all aout Hazel dont you know?
P.S. I know you cant read all of the words to the song, but I couldnt get them any smaller. I should stick to what I do best.....junk. I know...well get Lani to fix it. Thats what well do!

Before...a very cool galvanized contraption of some sort....
And the after. Bibbity, bobbity, boop!
The case has a front opening door and came equipped with hooks to keep it closed when not in use. I thought it would be a great wall unit for organizational purposes. Two eye hooks were added at the top inside two corners and chain attached.
Two more eye hooks were attached at the two inside corners of the door. Hook up the chain and you have yourselves a nifty noodle little wall desk to work on.
I added shelves on one side to hold goodies. The shelves were made from reclaimed wood...of course!
Some dowels were added in the center to dispense ribbon, wire etc. The dowels are made from wood and sprayed with a hammered finish spray paint.
The dowels are held in place with plastic closet rod holders....also sprayed with a hammered finish spray paint.
I love the original rope handle. Details!
I covered the remaining section with old wood and added hangers for the likes of scissors.
And here we are....all packed up and ready to go for round two in Stone Mountain, GA. Kathy, Lauren, Hazel, Holly, and yours truly. Not pictured is our good friend, Nadine. Thanks ladies for all of your help! You should have seen the cars all loaded up....pretty funny! Sorry I couldnt supply you with a photo, but Im sure you get the picture!
Hazel and I had to part ways after the show in Stone Mountain. She was last seen on a porters cart at the Country Living Fair in Stone Mountain, GA. Rumor has it she is residing in a designers studio somewhere in North Carolina. Good luck, old gal! Our time together was short, but meaningul Ill never forget you :)

I was lucky enough to attend both Country Living Fairs this year with my good friends from Gorilla Glue and our good friend and conributor, Kathy at the Ohio show. I did numerous projects for the show as well as an autumnal dining experience ala junk. I presented in the GG booth as well as on the main stage. I have to say the experience was a bit mind blowing. You should have seen the crowds! The hoards of eager shoppers were huge in the booth and GI..NORMOUS at the main stage. WOWSERS...what fun! Thanks to our sponsor Gorilla Glue for including me and to all of you who attended my seminars. I think I need a two week vacation to recover. Too bad, so sad,, no rest for the weary. I'll be coming out wih some more good news in a jiffy! Stay tuned.....

Did you make this?
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.

RustyDiva writes: Sue, how do you manage to always look so cute and yet be so busy? I think Hazel's "real" job is stylist to the stars. Love the little case - of course you had me at metal! Great job.
