Staging a home for sale... with JUNK of course. :)

A crusty old lantern added instant character to a very light and bright home. Im quite sure this was the first time EVER my moms house had rust inside of it. :)

I desired a woodsy top for this little entry bench, so I simply placed some loose old palette boards on top. Instant 2 toned piece with no work!
Although I wouldnt hesitate to screw or nail down the top if I wished for it to stay. What an easy way to gain a woodsy top to a painted piece!
With obviously no microwave in sight, two drawers (yanked out of my dresser) complete with fun house numbers give this space a little fun pazazz. (while hiding house selling paperwork)
An old vintage mix master and antique checkerboard backdrop made a nice little inviting corner alongside (fake) snowdrops to pretty up the counters. Kitchen themed too. :)
Check out that heavyweight porcelain bowl! Its pretty awesome.
Simple loose pickets bring your eye up towards the soaring vaulted ceilings in this little area by the fireplace.
Who says all house staging objects must be shiny and pretty?!?

I recently did a light stage to my mom's condo that's up for sale. It was empty so I added small touches that emphasised life. Much to my dismay (or glee..), when I brought my staging stuff over, it was all.. well, junk. I mean, it's all I own. :)

My mom wasn't a junk lover but the changes from peach flowers to rustic distressed really gave the space a very updated feel!

If you'd like to see more than 5 photos of different areas, please visit the original post HERE. I created an online magazine spread of her place. And amazingly enough, it doesn't appear as empty with tighly cropped pics. :)
