If you have been following my Junk.  I have a customer that gave me 4 doors to work with.  This is her second cupboard.  Made from a 24 in door.  She completed it by giving me a special glass door knob to put on it.
This is a neat story.  I sold a chimney cupboard I made from a door to a young gal.  She went out of town to visit her mother and noticed she was trashing old doors.  She haulted her and advised her she had to see her cupboard and meet me.  She later brought 4 doors and wanted me to make a her daughter a bookshelf out of a door as a Christmas gift. This door I picked because of the detail on the top.  It is a late 1800s vintage.  The window was busted out and I removed the bottom 3 panels.  The Mom gave me a glass door knob for this one.  Needless to say Christmas was in September this year.
My customer had me make something out of the bookshelf in the center of the project.  I added the bottom useing left overs from her headboard  and added a back and top piece from scraps.  She will be doing the fun part and painting.
I was commissioned to make 20 of these plant stands.  They are out of a cedar picket fence
When I made those plant stands I had several of the ends left over.  Well, they looked like tags to me.  So I came up with this idea.  Does any one have any idea what I could do with others?

When I saw Scott Phillip's episode on PBS making a chimney cupboard he got me hooked on doors of all kinds. Here is some projects I have finished the season with. I have orders for the spring to work on already.

greencolleen writes: donna at funky junk made coasters and white washed them very cool. you could do numbers or letters on them. you could also use them as backing for hooks or candle holders or attach a vintage mop holder with a bottle for a flower. good luck Posted: 7:21 am on October 25th
